8 of 2026 - Allington Lock – Planned Closure for Essential Maintenance

8th June to 12th June (inclusive)

Mariners are advised that Allington Lock will be closed to all traffic from Monday 8th June to Friday 12 June 2026 to allow essential maintenance works to be carried out.

The maintenance is required to repair an issue with the lock collar straps, ensuring the lock gates continue to operate safely and reliably for the 2026 navigation season.

The lock will be closed for the full duration of the works, and no passage will be possible during this period.
