4 of 2024 - Twyford Bridge Replacement Works

Our contractors will shortly begin works to replace the failing Twyford Bridge in Yalding.

Here’s a summary of the key dates and activities:

• 19th February: Mobilisation and footpath closure begins. This includes Traffic Management on Hampstead Lane and closure of the canoe launch area.
• 26th February: Floating plant mobilisation starts.
• 1st March: The floating plant is to be positioned in front of Twyford Bridge Marina.
• 4th March: Demolition works begin.
• TBC – Completion

 

The short-term moorings at Yalding will be unavailable during these works. These works should not impede navigation or affect use of the Lifting Bridge at Yalding.
