2 of 2022 - Pollution Incident at Hampstead Slipway

Due to a serious oil pollution incident that occurred around 11:40 today at Hampstead Slipway we are temporarily closing the navigation around the spill site in order to protect river users, wildlife and prevent further spreading of the oil slick.

The Environment Agency are responding to the incident. Booms will be placed in the channel to contain the spill. The clean-up operation will take place over the coming weekend.
