10 of 2024 - Teston Sluice Refurbishment Project

The Teston Sluice Refurbishment Project is underway, full information about the works taking place are available here 

The works will be starting on the 8th July 2024 until further notice. The navigation will remain open throughout the planned works, this includes the lock, portage and canoe pass. There may however be a delay of up to 20 minutes should lifting operations be in progress over the river. As soon as the load has been released passage through Teston will resume.

Members of the contractor’s team will be present at both upstream and downstream boat decks to direct river users to a safe place until operations are complete.

There is also a short diversion from the tow path through Teston County Park to avoid the works site.
